Farabi

(870-950) Farabi, Türk-İslam düşünürü, İslam disiplini içinde yetişmiş Türk düşünürlerinin en büyüğüdür. Ortaçağ’da yaşamıştır (870-950). Aristoteles’in felsefesini İslâmi açıdan yorumlayarak İslam düşüncesiyle bağdaştırmaya çalışmıştır. İslam felsefe geleneğinde Aristoteles "ilk öğretmen", onun yetkin yorumcusu Farabi ise, "ikinci öğretmen" olarak nitelenir. Amacı, Aristoteles'i, biraz da Plotinos'un yardımıyla, İslam diniyle uzlaştırmaktı... Bununla da yetinmemiş, İslam dinini de bilimle uzlaştırmaya çalışmıştır.
